Man’s Greatest Need
Our most urgent need is to accept God’s gracious gift of salvation and discover the forgiveness of sins through the shed blood of His Son Jesus Christ. According to the Bible, we must:
Realize that each of us is a sinner deserving of God’s justice and punishment. God says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23), and “the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
Recognize that Jesus is the perfect and sinless substitute payment for our sin. What we are unable to accomplish, no matter how hard we try, or how many good deeds we do, or how good we may think we are, Christ Jesus accomplished for us by His death and resurrection: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
Receive Christ Jesus as your personal Savior by individual, intentional, personal faith in Him alone as your Savior: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31).
